50 Tree Walk

After a very interesting talk from the Friends of Dothill Local Nature Reserve (FDNLR) last June, some Rotarians, spouses, partners and Inner Wheel members gathered at Admaston House on 11th October to be shown around the Reserve and its 50 Tree Trail (set up as part of the Telford Town’s 50th celebrations).

Preparing for Tree of Light 2018

Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Wellington met on Friday 12th October to help prepare for the coming Rotary Telford Tree of Light Campaign.  Members packed over 1000 envelopes which are to be sent out to contributors to the 2017 to the Rotary Tree of Light.  

President Rene?

John Morris-Roberts of the Telford Centre Club writes;  "We were privileged to have the President of Wellington Rotary Club at our 'Allo Allo' party at the Wroxeter hotel on the 23 September.  I attach a photo of President Peter and Gill, and they both dressed a up and had FUN, as did the other 107 people attending."

A final black ball win secured victory over last year's champions The Wrekin.
Ten Pin Bowling
Victory over The Wrekin was also secured at the Shrewsbury Bowl was also achieved albeit with the surprise inclusion of some academy players.   Wellington also played on 3 other lanes to combine the competition with a fellowship evening.    Teams and others then adjourned to the Red Lion for a convivial evening.

Wrekin Riders BMX visit

 Wrekin Riders BMX received a grant from the Fairbourne fund which enabled the club to have a team building day at a trampoline park with coaching.   Kirsty Smallman explained how important this was to the children invovled as they were able to play with each other instead of competing covered by their helmets.
