Bowled Over!

Bowls Captain Venn Davies writes:

On Tuesday, 23rd May at The Bowring Park, Wellington a mighty struggle took place when we played Probus at Crown Green Bowls. This year, instead of heavy rain, we enjoyed brilliant sunshine. Very enjoyable too was the friendly way in which our Probus friends hosted us and whose partners very kindly provided us all with tasty refreshments.

Rob Evans is pleased to report that on a sunny but bitterly cold evening in Whitchurch the first croquet match of the season resulted in a victory for Wellington by 4 games to 2.

A second round match is to be played by 30 June and our opponents will be either Leek or Stafford Knot.
